The Fifth International Conference on Iranian Languages and Dialects (Past and Present) was organized by the Centre for the Great Islamic Encyclopaedia (Centre for Iranian and Islamic Studies).
One of the activities of the Centre for the Great Islamic Encyclopaedia is the compilation of The Encyclopaedia of Great Tehran, the third volume of which is dedicated to Tehran and has been recently released by the CGIE press.
This verse is part of the song “O, Aras!” (Ārāz in the pronunciation of the Azerbaijanis), which is attributed to Yahya Sheida, the Azerbaijani poet. Its theme is the longing for the separated land of the northern Aras from Iran that became annexed to Russia after the Turkmenchay treaty. Ever since, this theme has become common in the works of poets like Sheida...
The launch ceremony of the online edition of the CGIE encyclopaedias was held on Tuesday, 22 September 2020, and Kazem Mousavi Bojnourdi, Ashraf Boroujerdi, Ali Bahramian, Mohammad Mehdi Mahmoudi, Ali Mousavi Bojnourdi, and Masoud Tarah delivered their speeches at the event, which was hosted by Hamoun Ghorab in the Centre for the Great Islamic Encyclopaedia.
