ʿAlī Bolūkbāshī, the director of “Anthropology Department” and member of the supreme scientific council at the CGIE, donated his personal library and a collection of his handwritings and audiovisual materials to this center.
Personal Library of the late Dr. Āẕartāsh Āẕarnūsh, the distinguished and eminent professor of the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies of the University of Tehran (UT), the first head of the department of the Arabic literature at the UT and member of the supreme scientific council at the CGIE, was donated to Library of the Centre for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia by his family.
The 13th volume of ‘Catalog of the Persian Books’ was published by the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia (Center for Iranian and Islamic Studies); Being compiled by Aḥmad Munzavī, it was revised and completed by Malīḥeh ʿAlīnezhad and published under the supervision of ʿAlī Bahramiān.
He came from a family of thinkers and scholars. His father was Ayatollah al-uzma Seyyed Hassan Musavi Bojnurdi, one of Najaf’s prominent marjaʻs for many years, and his maternal grandfather, Ayatollah al-uzma Seyyed Abu al-Hassan Esfahani, was the general marjaʻ of Shiites for a decade. With such a background and support, it was surprising if he had not started compiling encyclopedias at the age of forty-one.
