The seventh volume of the Encyclopedia of Iranian Culture, edited by Muḥammad J ͑afarī (Qanawātī), was published under the supervision of Kāẓim Mūsavī Bojnurdī, CEO of the Centre for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia.
Wilferd Ferdinand Madelung, the prominent German scholar of Islamic history, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Encyclopedia Islamica and member of the CGIE’s Science Council, died on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the age of 93.
The first volume of “Index to the Early Printed Books in the Library of the Centre for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia” compiled by Muḥammad Ḥussain Tasbīḥī and revised and completed by ʿAlī Bahramiān and Malīḥeh ʿAlīnezhad, was published by the CGIE (the Center for Research on Iran and Islam) Press.
The Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia (CGIE) is an Iranian scientific research institute which was founded by Kāẓim Mūsavī Bojnurdī in March 1984; it is dedicated to research, compilation and publication of reference sources, general and subject encyclopedias in particular, on different aspects of human knowledge.
