Touraj Daryaee, historian and director of the Samuel Jordan Center for the Persian Studies of at the University of California, Irvine, has been appointed editor-in-chief of the Encyclopaedia Iranica, succeeding the late Ehsan Yarshater.
The 40th anniversary ceremony of the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia was held on Saturday morning, March 1, at the Rayzan International Conference Center in Tehran.
The book “Chehel-Cheragh: The Oral History of Forty Years of Cultural and Scientific Activity at the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia,” compiled by Hamidreza Muhammadi, has been published by the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia (Center for Iranian and Islamic Studies).
The book “Khur and Biabanak through the Course of History,” authored by Sayyid ʿAlī Al-e Dāvūd, has been published by the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia (Center for Iranian and Islamic Studies).
