The translation of Terrasses Sacrées de Bard-è Néchandeh et Masjid-i Solaiman l'Iran du Sud-Quest of Roman Ghirshman is published by CGIE press, which presents another prominent research in the field of history and culture of ancient Iran. Along with the archaeologists and researchers in the fields of history and culture, other appreciative audience are acquainted with the works of this eminent French Iranologist, particularly the book Iran: From the Earliest Times to the Islamic Conquest translated by Dr. Mohammad Mo’in. In the present book, the author professionally associates the technical topics of archeology with the historical, cultural and religious subjects related to pre-Islamic society of Iran. The work attempts to generate a proper understanding of not only the historical, social, and artistic aspects, but also the religious conditions of ancient Iran, particularly in the Sassanid era. The chapters in which the author, with his exceptional insight, explains the effects of impatience on the surviving bodies of religious symbols in this era seem fascinating. However, the significant value of this work in identifying ancient Iran will certainly be understood in future Iranian studies, and the Publishing Council of this centre, knowing of such values, agreed to publish it.
