The History and Culture of Azerbaijan

This work, which will be compiled in two volumes, is the first book of the series on ancient cities and states of Iran. As one of the oldest and most significant states of Greater Iran, Azerbaijan has not only always played an essential role in the political history of Iran, but it has also been a rare manifestation of our culture and literature. Therefore, studying various aspects of Azerbaijan’s political, social and cultural history paves the way for compiling similar works on other states and cities of Iran. Ethnological and linguistic studies, cultural and social developments that emerged in Azerbaijan due to major political and military events such as the invasion and survival of various ethnic groups during the Islamic centuries, as well as art, literature and sciences, are among the main chapters of this work.
