Dear Dr. Touraj Daryaee,
Greetings. I extend my heartfelt congratulations on your appointment as Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopaedia Iranica.

I am confident—and hopeful—that you, who have arisen from and blossomed within Yarshater’s school, will strive to further enhance and elevate the invaluable legacy of the founder of this encyclopedia.
