The Great Islamic Encyclopedia

This Encyclopedia contains research articles about all aspects and dimensions of the Islamic culture and civilization such as history, geography, Islamic Law, Quran and Hadith, Islamic sects, philosophy and mysticism, literature and languages of Islamic nations (Persian, Urdu, Turkish and etc), the history of natural sciences and mathematics, art and architecture in Islamic nations, anthropology and other issues related to native and local culture and civilization of Moslems. Variety of topics and entries in The Great Islamic Encyclopedia, distinguishes its advantages to other similar encyclopedias that have covered some aspects of the Islamic civilization or religions. On the other hand, it indicates the necessity for serious efforts to access the important issues and details of Islamic culture and civilization that were neglected before. Thus, the members of The Great Islamic Encyclopedia use original, old and creditable resources derived from Moslem nations culture and Islamic civilization for writing and authoring articles. They also try to impartially represent different elements and layers of political, social, scientific, literature, artistic history of the Islamic world, through scientific reviewing of exploited original information resources as well as authoring documentary and integrated articles. Furthermore, the new and current information resources and researches are used for writing the encyclopedic articles. In fact, some topics and entries of the Great Islamic Encyclopedia are written for the first times that require original research. In other words, no encyclopedic or research articles and books have been published about them before.
